By taking a 15-minute survey, you can help the U.N. figure out how to gauge which countries provide their LGBTI citizens with a fair, just, healthy, productive life. The survey could serve as a step toward achieving such an ideal worldwide.
Results of the survey will be considered by the U.N. Development Programme (UNDP) and the Office of the U.N. High Commission on Human Rights (OHCHR) in formulating a Global LGBTI Inclusion Index, which will be used in developing strategies aimed at improving the quality of life for LGBTI people worldwide.
As the survey’s organizers say:
“This is the time to shape a Global LGBTI Inclusion Index! Follow the link below to read a context note and take this UNDP/OHCHR survey before Nov 23rd. Be counted!”
ILGA (the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association) and Outright Action International (formerly the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission) are publicizing the survey as a method for letting LGBTI people influence the way that U.N. agencies measure how they are treated, no matter where in the world they are citizens.
Deadline for completing the survey is Nov. 23, 2015.
